About Us
Christine’s Place pregnancy & family support centre is a faith-based organization providing compassionate help to anyone affected by an unexpected pregnancy or prior abortion experience. We desire to be a place of safety, coming alongside our clients as they navigate the challenging circumstances in their lives.
Catherine Birnie, Executive Director
Cathy has worked for more than 25 years providing pregnancy care support to the local community. She brings vast experience in establishing healthy and effective organizations. Cathy takes a collaborative leadership approach that invests, invites, and involves effective input from her team.
Lindsey Lyons, Administrative Assistant
Lindsey is a former staff member and volunteer for Christine’s Place. She joined staff again early in 2023 and brings her background in design and event planning to the team.
Sheryl-Anne Nudd, Centre Manager
Sheryl-Anne loves helping others and working alongside them to achieve their goals. She has had a long-time passion for the work Christines Place provides and is part of the Steering committee for the Gravenhurst location planned to open in 2024. Sheryl brings experience in leadership and team building and is passionate about making a difference.
Emily Truax, Centre Manager
Emily's enduring commitment to addressing women's needs is evident through her work in women's prisons and small groups and a decade of experience in church planting in downtown Toronto. She is enthusiastic about bringing her experience to Christine's Place, aiming to connect with men, women and families in the region and support them along their journey.
Leah Zantingh, Communications Manager
Leah has been a local supporter of Christine’s Place for years. She joined our team in 2022 and works creatively behind the scenes on our social media platforms and so much more. Leah has a Visual and Creative Arts degree, and her creative flair infuses into everything she produces.
