Christine’s Place Hand-Up Approach to Tangible Support

We recognize and respect that each person is on a unique journey and that sometimes before sorting out big decisions, individuals need help meeting their practical everyday needs. At Christine's Place, each client is provided with practical support as available.

Christine’s Place has a collaborative relationship with Kids Collective, which is a local business in Huntsville offering new and previously loved clothing for little ones. Donations can be taken and credited to our Christine's Place Account, which is then handled as credits that are passed on in the form of gift cards to our client families needing practical support. This hand-up approach provides our families with a wider range of inventory that can more efficiently meet their needs while allowing us to focus on the unique services we offer our community.

Providing individuals with this service offers parents the respect and responsibility to make choices while providing for their families in the process. This positive approach to supporting clients has been far more rewarding than handing them an outfit that involved no input nor decision-making on their part. We are thankful for our valued relationship with Kids Collective Muskoka!

*Please note Kids Collective will accept clothing and outerwear sized newborn to kids 14/16. They must not have any stains or rips. They also take footwear - again have to be in a good enough condition to resell. Then baby accessories (diapers, feeding items, etc) and toys. No cribs or car seats. All items need to be washed or sanitized before drop off.

Christine's Place has a relationship with THE TABLE. this local charity offers new and previously loved clothing for adults as well as household items. Through this collaborative relationship, Christine's Place provides gift cards to families needing this practical support.

Partnerships strengthen our ability to provide a broader range of items to our clients while allowing us to focus on Christine's Place's unique services. We are thankful for our valued relationship with The Table Huntsville!
