A new school year brings excitement, fresh opportunities and new beginnings. It can also bring financial pressure for many families. That's why we're inviting our community to come together to help local students head back to school prepared, confident and supported.

Whether you're a parent looking for a backpack, a business wanting to give back, a church seeking a community outreach opportunity or simply someone who wants to lend a hand…

🎒 A Little Encouragement for the School Year Ahead

Every child deserves to begin the school year feeling prepared, confident and supported.

Join us on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Rivermill Park and Parking Lot in Huntsville for a fun, family-friendly community celebration designed to help students start the school year strong.

Through our Back-to-School Festival, backpacks filled with essential school supplies will be available for registered grade school students while supplies last. We've also reserved a limited number of backpacks for older students who could benefit from a little extra encouragement as they prepare for the opportunities and challenges that a new school year can bring.

Whether your family is looking for help with school supplies, community connections or simply a fun afternoon together, we would be delighted to welcome you.

🌟 How Can You Be Part of This?

We invite businesses, churches, service clubs and community members to come alongside families in one or more of the following ways:

  • Sponsor – Help make a dignified school start possible

  • Partner – Host a Free booth offering Free family‑focused resources or services

  • Give – Provide financial support or donate school supplies

  • Volunteer – Lend a hand on event day

    Every backpack, school supply, volunteer hour and gift helps write a story of encouragement for local students and families. Every contribution—large or small—helps ensure children head back to school with the tools they need and the confidence that comes from knowing their community cares.

    At Christine's Place, we believe that practical support opens the door to hope and helps create a circle of care that holds every heart. Thank you for helping children and families begin the school year feeling encouraged, connected and supported.
