About Us

Christine’s Place pregnancy & family support centre is a Christian organization which seeks to provide compassionate help to all who are struggling with, or have previously been affected by an unplanned pregnancy. We desire to be a place of safety, coming alongside our clients as they navigate the challenging circumstances in their lives. In all things we want each person to know how incredibly valuable they are, upholding the great value of the unborn as we do this.

Christine’s Place began as a dream in a young woman’s heart. A dream to honour her birth mother and to make a difference in the lives of others who may find themselves alone and unsupported as they try to navigate an unplanned pregnancy.

Christine was a young teenager who found herself pregnant, alone and without support. She did not feel that she had many options but she did choose to continue with her pregnancy and place her baby for adoption. Her baby was cared for and raised by loving adoptive parents, and grew to become a wonderful young woman. Overtime this young woman connected with her birth mother, Christine. She shared stories with her birth mother of her wonderful upbringing and thanked her for making the choices that she did. Sadly, Christine never did find a place where she felt loved and accepted. She ended up suffering with addictions that led to her premature death several years ago.

Jenn Adair is that baby, Christine’s daughter. She was part of the team that established Christine’s Place and now serves as the board Chair. This is the story that began our efforts. Our hope and goal is to provide a place of love and refuge for other “Christine’s”. We believe that no matter what challenges an individual is facing, compassion, kindness and practical options will always enrich lives.
